During the war in Iraq, I was shot at the age of 6. I don’t remember anything about it, all I know is that I always had a retracting scar on my stomach. It made me insecure, but the scar also constantly reminded me of the war.

After giving birth to my two children, I really wanted to have something done about the retracting scar on my abdomen. I visited several plastic surgeons, but no one could help me, until I saw a video of Mireille and Michiel on Instagram. I thought they looked so professional. Plastic surgeon Mireille van Hal dared to make something beautiful out of it. I was immediately convinced I wanted her to operate on me. I didn’t hesitate for a minute.

I opted for a tummy tuck. They also removed my scar, removed my stretch marks and tightened my abdominal muscles. Well, while you’re at it….
The surgery is now 6 weeks ago. The scar is still a bit red, but I am already very happy with the result. Everything still needs some time to fully recover, but I already feel I have become a completely different person.
