This surgery is always done under general anesthesia for safety reasons. If necessary, both upper and lower legs can be treated.

Recovery

After a few weeks you will be fully recovered. For the first few weeks after treatment, you will need some help at home so that you can get the necessary rest.

Result

After about 1 year, the final end result is achieved.

Aftercare

After surgery, you will wear an elastic suit for at least 6 weeks and the treated area should be massaged daily (lymphatic drainage).

Does the surgery take place under general anesthesia?

Yes. Full anesthesia not only provides more comfort, but also reduces the risk of bleeding and swelling, making your recovery faster.

Could it possibly be done again?

This can be done, but is rarely necessary.

Is it a safe procedure?

Liposuction has almost no medical risks. However, you may see small dents after the treatment, or your skin may loosen. The more fat removed, the greater this risk. Good post-treatment reduces this risk.
